I am a senior accredited member of The British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and registered with the United Kingdom Council for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (UKRCP). My professional body is The Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC). I trained at the Westminster Pastoral Foundation (WPF) at Kensington London and graduating with an Advanced Diploma in Supervision at the WPF in 1992. My previous professional background is in psychiatry working for 25 years as a Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) in mainly acute and community (CPN) settings. I commenced my private practise in Dorset in 1988. In that time I have worked with most emotional disorders in both Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and in on going models.
 
I offer an initial assessment interview of 75 minutes the fee for which is £45. We will think about your presenting problem, your family and life history and if a counselling intervention would be helpful, or consider other options. It will also give you a chance to know if you can work with me. There will be, of course, no obligation for you to continue and you will have time to consider if you wish to continue working with me. If you choose to commence therapy, I work on a once a week basis (sometimes twice a week might be useful). The fee will be £45 and I will charge for missed sessions, however I will endeavour to provide an alternative time.
